Expat Taxes joins ECOVIS Ireland

Expat Taxes, the Irish expat tax advisory firm founded by Stephanie Wickham, has joined ECOVIS Ireland. When we first spoke with Stephanie and the Expat Taxes team, it was clear this was a forward-thinking firm. They offer online consultations to clients wherever they are based, and their podcast, webinars and guides take the stress out of expat tax.

Moving country is a big life decision, and the tax side can feel overwhelming. Expat Taxes has spent over a decade helping people move to and from Ireland, and supporting the employers who relocate them.

The team is made up of award-winning Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers who work where Irish tax law meets the rules of other countries. It’s a specialist area, and they’re very good at it. Their TaxBytes for Expats podcast, webinars and free guides make complex tax topics easier to understand.

Ireland’s workforce is more international than ever. People are relocating for work, coming home after years abroad, working remotely for overseas employers, and holding shares and pensions in more than one country. Employers are moving staff in and out of Ireland and need to get payroll, equity schemes and social security right. None of this fits neatly into one tax system.

Having Expat Taxes as part of ECOVIS Ireland means our clients can now access that specialist advice alongside the services they already rely on, with the backing of the ECOVIS network in more than 90 countries.

The team at Expat Taxes advise returning emigrants, US citizens, remote workers, retirees, non-resident landlords and people holding RSUs or stock options. For businesses, they advise on sending staff to or from Ireland, tax-efficient relocation packages, equity-based compensation schemes, employer registration and social security.
